Explained my condition in a very thorough, polite and easy to understand way. Told me about my options and how he intended to proceed. He never rushed me and let me spend as much time as I needed to ask as many questions as I liked all with satisfactory answers.

I was referred to Krishna Vemulapalli by another consultant regarding increased pain in my arthritic foot. My husband attended the consultation with me. We were both so impressed with the level of information we received, my condition was spoken about at length which equipped me with sufficient information enabling me to come to a decision as to whether I should embark upon the path of having a bone fusion procedure. It was explained to me in detail the whole process from the operation to the lengthy recovery period, Mr Vemulapalli urged me to take time to decide. After discussions with my family I decided to go ahead. I am now 16 weeks in and am weight bearing although still in a removable cast, everything has been pretty much as predicted by Mr Vemulapalli. I have every faith in him and do not hesitate in recommending him. When the time comes for me to have the other foot fused I will most certainly be returning to the outstanding care of Mr Krishna Vemulapalli.

I have had pain in my foot for some years, and have had a variety of diagnosis from physios, podiatrists and my GP (who without looking at me told me it was probably diabetes). My physio recommended I go to Mr Vemulapalli. He listened to me, took me seriously, made a correct diagnosis and recommended treatment that has left me pain free for the first time in years. Thank you.

A very thorough and considerate consultant who takes time to discuss issues and take on board patient concerns about injury and treatment.

Mr Vemulapalli is my consultant orthopaedic surgeon and following an operation for a calcaneal osteotomy and tendon transfer in July 2017 (follow ups still ongoing) I can honestly say that in my opinion Mr Vemulapalli is first rate. Mr 'V' is committed and trustworthy and has the ability to instil confidence - particularly when discussing the pros and cons of the 'problem' and the pros and cons of surgery/treatment. This can be (and most often is) a very anxious time, but Mr 'V' has a 'humane' touch and in spite of the obvious pressures and draw on resources Mr V's approach is always one of respect and understanding and he is always able to 'give some time' to listen to concerns. Although I cannot say that I enjoyed the experience of the operation and being hospitalised (albeit for a very short time) Mr V was able to make the experience more bearable by his professionalism and kindly manner.
